Dr Jeremy Khoo is a Fellowship-trained Specialist in Breast, Endocrine, and General surgery.
After completing his medical studies at Monash University with honors, Jeremy embarked on his Surgical Residency at Monash Health, Melbourne. He obtained Fellowship in General Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Having obtained broad experience in general surgery across various rural and metropolitan hospitals in Melbourne, Jeremy developed a keen interest in breast, endocrine, and general surgery.
Jeremy went on to pursue a one-year Breast and Endocrine Fellowship in Brisbane to develop further expertise in Breast Surgical Oncology and Reconstruction, Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery, as well as Acute General Surgery and Trauma at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, one of Brisbane’s major tertiary referral hospitals. During this time, he was conferred a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) by the University of Queensland (UQ), School of Medicine, for research in cutting-edge imaging techniques in breast cancer at the Translational Research Institute (TRI), Brisbane.
Jeremy then pursued a second Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship year in Melbourne, with the Monash Breast Unit, Monash Medical Centre, to develop further expertise in breast cancer management, oncoplastic techniques for breast-conserving cancer surgery, mammoplasty for functional breast reduction and also treatment of benign breast diseases. Jeremy also obtained international experience, most recently working as a General Surgeon at the Singapore General Hospital, Singapore, before returning to Brisbane and being appointed as a Visiting Consultant with the Division of Breast and Endocrine Surgery, Princess Alexandra Hospital.
